Cheats Ham & Cheese Scones
These scones are extra cheesy, savoury and delicious!
Tips & Tricks
Use 50g of Pams melted butter for brushing the top of the scones, to make them extra golden and crunchy!Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups Pams self-raising flour
- 2 cups Pams grated tasty cheese
- 150g Pams shaved leg ham, roughly chopped
- 2 cups unsweetened Greek yoghurt
Method
- Preheat your oven to 200°C fan bake. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Add the flour, 1 ½ cups of the grated cheese and the ham to a large bowl, along with ½ tsp of table salt. Toss together until the cheese and ham is evenly distributed.
- Add the yoghurt and stir together with a fork, until it forms a soft, shaggy dough.
- Tip the dough out onto a floured bench top and knead gently until the dough just comes together. Pat the dough into a rectangle roughly 3cm thick. Cut the rectangle in half lengthwise, then crosswise into 4 squares (to make a total of 8 scones)
- Place the scones spaced apart on the lined oven tray. Brush over the melted butter with a pastry brush, if using. Sprinkle over the remaining grated cheese.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
