Feijoa Chutney

Makes 2 large jars

Aromatic & sweet yet tart feijoas make delicious chutney. Keep a jar in your cupboard or fridge for when guests are next over to elevate your cheeseboard!

Tips & Tricks
  • Serve on a cheeseboard with your favourite Pams cheese and crackers.
  • Leave your chutney jars in a cool dark place for up to 2 weeks for ultimate flavour. 

Ingredients

  • 1kg ripe Feijoas, roughly peeled & diced
  • 2 Pams Brown Onions, peeled & diced
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 cup Pams Malt Vinegar
  • ½ cup Pams White Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Pams Curry Powder

Method

  1. Place the diced feijoas and onions in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the onions and feijoa begin to brown and soften, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add all the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Stir often for 15 minutes, before leaving to simmer for 30 minutes. Add salt to taste and adjust seasoning to your liking.
  3. Pour the chutney into sterilised jars, close the lids and leave to cool.

 

Put the peeled skin to use by making some tasty and refreshing Feijoa Fizz!
