Tomato & Lentil Bolognese
Our gutsy vegetarian bolognese is the perfect winter warmer for those cold nights. Easy to prepare and quick to cook, it’s bound to become a family staple that will impress even the heartiest carnivore!
Tips & Tricks
- Try adding 1/3 cup Pams Kalamata Olives to your bolognese sauce for a salty kick of flavour.
Ingredients
- 300g spaghetti
- 1 Pams Brown Onion, finely sliced
- 5 cloves of Pams Garlic, finely chopped
- 1 jar Pams Tomato & Herb Pasta Sauce
- 1 can Pams Brown Lentils, drained and rinsed
- ½ cup grated parmesan
Method
- Cook spaghetti as per packet instructions in rapidly boiling salted water. Drain well, drizzle with oil and return to the saucepan to keep warm.
- Add a splash of oil to a large fry pan over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until soft and translucent.
- Add pasta sauce and lentils. Season generously with salt and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Divide the pasta evenly between 4 plates, top with the lentil bolognese and a sprinkle of parmesan. Serve immediately.
