Turkey Koftas
A Middle Eastern inspired quick & easy dinner, these koftas pack a delicious, savoury punch that the whole whānau will enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
- Pair these delicious koftas with toasted Pams White Pita Bread, yoghurt, fresh coriander and salad.
- Add ½ a cup of coriander to the turkey kofta mix to enhance the flavour and add a herby fragrance!
- If your turkey kofta mix is too wet, add ½ cup Pams Panko Breadcrumbs to help bind the mix together.
Ingredients
- 1 Packet Pams Turkey Mince
- 1 Pams Free Range Egg
- 1 Pams Brown Onion
- 4 cloves Pams Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Pams Paprika
- 1 tsp Pams Cumin
Method
- Add the turkey mince to a mixing bowl, add the egg and season with salt & pepper.
- Add all the remaining ingredients to a blender or food processor and blitz until combined, or finely chop the garlic and onion and add in the spices. Add to the turkey mince and mix well.
- Roll the mixture into balls and place in the fridge to chill for around 15 minutes - this will help hold the kofta shape when cooking.
- In a large non-stick frypan, add a little cooking oil and fry the koftas on high heat in batches of about 3-4, flipping until all sides are golden. When they’re ready, turn the heat down to low and cover, leaving the koftas to cook for a further 5 minutes. Use a knife to test the centre is cooked before serving.
